1. Will LSQ mess up my computer and shortcuts?
LSQ only reads and copies your shortcut data and creates its own shortcut on the fly when you fire it.
It will not tamper with any of your settings.

2. A surprise annoyance: "e;LSQ loads shortcuts I didn't even know I had, much less want to use."e;
When you first run LSQ it presents a dialog with checkboxes asking if you want to load all shortcuts in certain special folders.
To avoid this annoyance check-off few or no folders and use [Get...], drag-n-drop or add them manually. Or, load lots of shortcuts
and delete the ones you don't want by holding down the delete key in the listbox. (Careful. It deletes quickly.)
